The one level we didn't see in the Direct, at least not that I saw, was Titania, which was one of my favourite levels in the 64 game. Can't wait to see what the reimagined version looks like, as even in Starfox Zero it was a looker:

Seeing how Solaria looked (and moved) absolutely stunning already, I can totally see Titania dropping jaws.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I'll buy it just for the cutscenes alone. I am curious as to why Falco has such a bent beak in this one. Looks really weird and out of place.

Back in the day I played Starfox over and over again. Its short length was a positive for that. Like having an hour or so to play, then get to the endgame and rolling credits really helped putting this cartridge in the N64 on a Sunday afternoon compared to bigger games.

With its branching paths it somehow strangely was what a rogue like is today.

REALLY looking forward to this one.

He looks like a velociraptor without the kill claw.

Yeah I must have played through Starfox SNES and 64 hundreds of times as a kid in the 90s.

I can see this one being great as a palate cleanser, like if I'm getting burned out on a long game or something, just take a break and do a run of Starfox to reset my brain.

One other problem with the new realistic character designs is that, if Illumination makes a Star Fox movie, they won't use an art style that matches the Switch 2 Star Fox, because it's not marketable compared to the Mario Galaxy Movie designs for Fox and his team. The realistic art style could hurt the new game for that same reason. -_-

The art style will not hurt the game. Of those people who are interested in a remake of a 90s rail shooter, (which is primarily those who grew up with it and have nostalgia for it) the number who would pass over this will not be significant. Starfox back in the day attempted realism from the get-go with the live action puppets used in the first game's box art, manual, and promotion, or 64's realistic-for-the-time graphics.

It's not a big deal.

But it would be jarring for new, younger players, like 8-12, seeing the expressive Fox from the Mario Galaxy Movie and then going to a Star Fox where everybody practically looks like the MCU version of Rocket Raccoon.

Mario doesn't look the same between the movies and the games, nor will Link once the live action film comes out. Franchises like Zelda have already gone through a ton of different art styles over time. People can adjust.

Not as easily as you think they can.
