If Ori and the Will of the Wisps counts, then that’s my pick. But I see it more as an action-adventure.

Excluding Ori, I pick Astro Bot, followed closely by Donkey Kong Bananza.

If the next 3D Super Mario delivers on the promise of Bowser’s Fury, though, I think all bets are off.

The one that caters to my tastes the best this decade is definitely Ghostrunner 2. Dashing, wall running, grapple hooking, sliding, dispatching foes with speed, long obstacle chains, cool motorcycle segments, banging synth, the game does exactly what it advertises and easily makes you feel like a badass speedster ninja better than anything before it.

Honourable mention to Ori and the Will of the Wisps, gorgeous game with razor sharp controls, brilliant level design, and a stellar soundtrack

Came here to say this too. There's an argument here that Ori doesn't really count as it's more of a metroidvania, or action-adventure as Veknoid put it, then again there's an argument to be made that as far as metroidvanias go, Ori is probably the most centered on platforming and has the tightest and most satisfying platforming controls.

If it counts, for me that's the greatest platformer of all time.

Still need to play Astro Bot, but Super Mario Bros Wonder beats Super Mario World for me and is the 3rd best 2D Mario platformer I've played besides the original Super Mario Bros and Yoshi's Island, so I have to go with that for now.

It Takes Two, while not a pure platformer and also kind of an action adventure, was a brilliant game. Same goes for last year's superb Split Fiction.

I also really loved Crash 4 and Lunistice for their nostralgic throwback design.

Astro Bot, by far.
