F.E.A.R is probably my pick. Just cool and first time I experienced that mechanic I think.

That game deserves so much more recognition.

I really wish that whoever owns the rights to it just makes Metroid Prime Remaster type of thing with it (so just superb visual uplift), so that more people can experience how good that game (and especially its AI) is.

Yeah FEAR is fucking amazing, some of the most satisfying action of any FPS I've ever played and enemy AI that still beats 90% of shooters made today.

I heard a lot of good things about (as KLXVR said) Trepang2, as well as Selaco when it comes to titles that are inspired by F.E.A.R. and its AI...unfortunately, I still haven't got around to either of them (though, I haven't binged FPS genre for years now, so I'm suspecting it might happen sooner than later).

Yeah I also need to get around to those two sometime, though who knows when tf that will be as my backlog is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Man I miss Monolith Productions; the first FEAR, Condemned 1 and 2, Blood, and the Middle Earth games were all terrific. Such a shame they got shuttered.

Yeah, they were quite prolific. What I miss the most is No One Lives Forever - I think it's still not defined who owns that IP (between WB, Activision and FOX) after all these years...

Hell yeah, this is another one of my top picks; it serves as both an awesome reward for quick reflexes, and it does a great job of showing how fast and powerful Bayonetta is and making the player feel like a badass.

Bayo 2, IMO, is still the best action game created.  I won't lie, Stellar Blade gives Bayo a run for it's money.  Not sure if you have played Stellar, but if you like Bayo and Neir it is a must.  Basically, it is a combination of those two games.

Yeah Bayonetta 2 is also my pick for the best of its type, absolutely god-tier game. And yeah I liked Stellar Blade a lot, and Nier Automata. "Character action game with a sexy female lead" is my kind of game.
