Standard PS5 declined to XBOX levels

Around the Network

Holy... the price hike did a number on the PS5 pro.

Will Forza horizon 6 cause an xbox sales spike during May?

Switch 2 falls under 60k again but Tomodachi Life 2 should give at least a bit of a boost and it looks like the Switch 1 might be falling off again after doing surprising well for a stretch earlier though we'll need to see if this is just an abnormally low week or a sign of how it'll sell this Spring. Also the regular PS5 and Pro tanked a week sooner than I expected though the other models helped it be up YoY again. The next couple or so weeks will show what its new baseline will be and if it'll remain above 10k or not.

By the way @firebush03 your latest Switch 2 number says 52.5k instead of 59.5k so you know. Thanks for updating those charts since I did miss the convenience of them.

The decision to relegate the PS5 to XBOX levels will be studied for years to come.

Base PS5 and Pro absolutely decimated as expected; one has to wonder how long they will hold out in keeping the digital model so comparatively cheap.

PS4 tracking finally ending makes sense, it was selling next to zero for quite some time.

Edited. Good catch! Should be in the chart next week. I was half awake editing that Excel file this morning lol so I guess I saw a 2 for a 9. And I’m happy to assist. :)

Forgot to mention this so yeah the PS4 is finally no longer getting tracked so it's back to just 4 consoles again for at least the next year and a half. With the way things are going Xbox should get completely removed from the chart some time next decade making it 3-4 instead of 4-5. 2 could happen depending on how long the PS6 is tracked.

The Switch needs to sell 19.32k units on avarage to reach 1 million units sold at the end of the year
