Probably because it was rational to expect  the release in the year of the anniversary. 

They realized a bit late that is better for longer gaps between two Gens. 😜

Yeah, really strange for them to miss 2026. It's going to be 5 or close to it once it releases, quite a big gap for a new gen.

Either they are having troubles or even Pokémon wanted to avoid GTA 6.

Regardless, I'm all in for a Switch 2 exclusive given the as much care as possible, instead of rushing.

This is for the best I guess. Though they could have released BW3 this year even if it was outsourced. No news about it and 2027 schedule implies 5th generation remake is a bit far away, 2028 maybe

Probably for the best. But now they NEED to release a good looking, well functioning game.

(Unfortunately, knowing the Pokemon company, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out mid)

I think they'll focus on Pokopia this year. It has a lot of potencial. I see them doing some events for the game to be released during these holidays

Indeed. 2026 is starting to look a but lacking in terms of exclusives, when will be the next main Nintendo Direct?

I'll say this, Gen 10 looks way better graphically than any of the Switch 1 games. The graphics reminded me a lot of New Pokemon Snap, which looked way better than any of the mainline games. Plus the water effects are great, making this a change from the usual Switch 2 standard of water effects being the most noticeable downgrade. It's not pushing the hardware like the Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadow ports, but I think it's good enough for Pokemon, and since there's still a ways till release, it might get even more polished.
