I'm 100% ok with this. PS6 2028~2029 is a nice time imo, no need for new consoles.

The rumour is two systems. Codename Canis that is a handheld/hybrid and Orion which is the home console. Canis: 16 CU's RDNA5, 24GB Ram, 4x Zen6c and 2x Zen6 LP cores. Orion: 52 CU's RDNA5, 30GB Ram, 7x Zen6c cores and 2x Zen6 LP cores. |
Damn Nintendo makes us play shity Graphic games for an eternity ffs.
If this happens Sony's portable machine will hold Graphics back and we will have a PS5 generation for another 7-8 years.
I don't want to play games when i am out of house, when i am out i have business to do.
Don't force portable gaming Graphics on people that just want to play games on their home.

I saw something about this rumors.
This would be huge for Playstation; they would become the only console capable of playing games from the 5th to the 10th generation through backward compatibility.

This is very outdated thinking, games are extremely scalable now.
You will not get "portable gaming graphics" on the home console because a handheld exists.

Really no point right now. Does not feel stuff really shows PS5 off for the most part. A large chunk of games just feel like PS4 games with better picture. Sometimes worse framerates. Games take forever to make now so a more powerful console. 1 game every decade by that point. $800-1000 console is a major turnoff. If they are still releasing PS4 games. PS6 can wait until 2030.

I don't know if the PS6 will be delayed, but one thing I'm almost certain of is that the Switch 2 will go up in price, according to what I heard at my local store. The online service too. My boss was saying that on the phone starting in April. But take it with a grain of salt.

Speaking of rising prices the RTX 5060 Ti 16gb I bought for £400 near it's launch now costs £520 on the same site. Not as extreme as DDR5 kits but GPU prices are taking a hit |
I don't recall console gamers complaining about 30fps in 2019. But there were a handful of games that were clearly made around more powerful hardware and were struggling to hit 720p30fps on base PS4 (Jedi: Fallen Order). And experiences like Cyberpunk which really were never meant for it.
