Viewership always drops off towards the end of a show. Most likely bigger companies want their trailers and reveals to air in prime time when there are more viewers.

No wonder because it's too long, or at least the last time was. If you want to have a show that long, it needs more interesting games to show off, and if you don't have those, the show needs to be shorter.
