Forums - General Discussion - Stop Korea from legalizing dog meat consumption

I hope no one takes offence from the above post, its just that here in Norway we have some rather serious animal rights issues to cover, most of which seem a lot more problematic and improtant to me.

I have nothing against them eating dogs, it is the way dogs are farmed I have the problem with. If dog meat is legalised then more than drastic changes need to be made and need to be made immediatley.

I agree with what Megadave said, they are a notoriously hard animal to farm. They need to be caged and beaten to keep them under control, then when they are beaten they need to become tender (for some reason this can't be done after death) . However if they can work around those methods to give the dogs a good quality of life then I'll be all for it.

This is certainly something we all can agree upon I think!

^ none taken lol.

It's all good, I think we can agree on the farming methods issue.

Out of interest, does anybody know why the meat can't be tenderised after they die? I con only imagine that it has something to do with adrenaline or something. I'll have a quick look on the net.
