  1. January 15 - WarioWare: Smooth Moves - good reveiws
  2. February 15 - Wii Play - mixed reviews
  3. February 20 - Sonic and the Secret Rings - mixed reviews
  4. Feb 27 - SSX Blur - mixed reviews
  5. April 9 - Super Paper Mario 8 - good reveiws
  6. May 29 - Mario Party 8 - mixed reveiws (good if you don't have a previous version

That's on the first post. If you are trying to tell me Wii Play is "mixed reviews" then I guess every game in the world is mixed reviews. It averaged 58%.

Sonic was only 69%.

SSX Blur was only 73%, so I that's getting close to being able to claim "mixed."

Mario Party 8 averaged 67%.

I would say 3 of these games received BAD reviews. So far, the only 2 Wii games with great reviews are Zelda (94.6%) and Paper Mario (86.4%).

Warioware is third at 81.7%, which I would say was mixed reviews because a lot of people got tired of it rather quickly.

What would you consider to be and decent to good score for normal games....75-80%

I think we should be keeping the "Games for this year" thread that contain already released games with good scores.  It's pointless having games with mediocre or plain bad scores included.

According to Metacritic, Super Paper Mario is the highest scored game for the Wii so far with an average score of 86%

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Actually, this is interesting.....? According to MetaCritic (they include a whole host of reviews and scores to come up with a definitive score for each game).....

The Wii has 11 games in the green (75% and above)

The PS3 has 21 games in the green (75% or above)

This is very interesting....the PS3 has the better games that the Wii then?

Oh and this.....

The DS has 57 games in the green (75% or above)

The PSP has 86 games in the green (75% or above)

So the PSP has better games than the DS then?

Nothing here that would make me even consider buying a Wii.

Resident Evil looks ok, but it's graphically almost identical to the gamecube version.

Metacritic weighted average scores are not percents.  They also have user ratings available.

Stop trying to change the definition of mixed reveiws from metacritic.  Mixed is 51 to 74.   If you read the reveiws for Wii play, you will see it's basically good reveiws for when there is 2 players and as a $10 packin when you want another controller.  If you can only see the bad, that's your problem.  It also shipped 3.42 million copies.  Do you honestly think it would be that high if it was all unfavorable reviews???

User rating on Wii Play: 6.8 out 10

Sonic: 7.7 out of 10

SSX Blur: users 8.2 out of 10

Not everything is favorable or mixed.  If you want to compare something with unfavorable reveiws:

GT Pro Series:  Metacritic 41, users 3.8/10

Rapala Tournament Fishing: Metacritic 41, users 4.1/10

Metacritic produces a score based on the number of reviews that are available at the time.  It has Critic reviews and User reviews.  If a magazine give it 8/10, then it's classed as 80%, if it gets 7.5/10, then it's 75%.

There was 58 reviews and surprise surprise the Official Nintendo Magazine gave it 91%.  After that, it dropped considerably to 78%.  But looking at the major supposed non-biased reviewers:

IGN - 55%

1UP - 60%

GameTrailers - 64%

GameSpy - 60%

GamesRadar - 60%

EGM - 52%

GameSpot - 54%

EuroGamer - 60%

didn't mark it well at all.

That's the odd thing, a lot of Wii games vary in score with about an average of 35%, which seems like a lot.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Nice lineup list. However only 5 of those are on my 'interested' list. The other 15 I could care less about, and there are about 5 of those that seriously... I dont think should be on that list at all.

This is being mean, but yes, I think the PSP has better games than the DS. Especially comming out in 2007.

If you look at gamerankings.com, most games have their high and low ratings. That's why you look at the average...

Just looking at a random game:  Halo 2, which averaged 95% and got a lot of 100s, also got a 76, 70, and 67.

Perhaps it is a matter of opinion? Because I feel the opposite is true
Having said that, this is the Wii exclusive board, not DS or PSP

On topic: Could I please make a request for the Smash Bros image to be changed or more added so it doesn't look like a Nintendogs game? (maybe try the www.smashbros.com)

perhaps something like that
