Doesn't the title of this thread violate forum rule #1?

Thread titles: "Do not use the title as a deceptive hook to lure people in." Putting Fable 2 in the title would have made this thread a bit less misleading to people.

what about the Last Remnant, might be great, you don't know.. and isn't DQIX coming this year, and what about Crisis Core?

Dude, are you kidding? Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 had nothing to do with Fable or any other WRPG. They were pure hack'n'slash, really enjoyable but they hardly had side quests (especially the first installment) or character leveling. If you payed some attention to some statements you would know that Space Siege is gonna be even more Action Oriented

Mass Effect, Tons Better on PC? Man, I don't know what to say. You nailed me down.
I guess you have no idea what ME even looks like, except some screens you've probably seen.


@starcraft. Was FFXII a masterpiece? Don't think so. Why should FFXIII be such? I'm not trying to convince anyone. But if a stated myself a WRPG fan, i wouldn't get involved in a JRPG discussion.
Sayin' "Fable 2 is gonna suck cause all the WRPGs suck and the best RPG is gonna be a JRPG (whatever)" is retarded.

really hard to already predict what the best rpg of the year will be, with games like Fable 2, DQIX, Crisis Core, White Knight Story, The Last Remnant and more..

 Nah , dont swet it , that will probably only make my best RPG list ... most people unfortunatly look down handheld RPGs :?

I don't understand why everyone is giving Starcraft so much flack? Fable2 being the 08 RPG of the year is his opinion. Can he not have an opinion? Sure, the fact of the matter is that Fallout3 (and probably Too Human) will probably humiliate Fable2 in terms of every gameplay mechanics, story, graphics and design but that doesn't mean the man can't have an opinion.... does it?!

Fallout 3 has gone from a potential highlight of the year to being a game that desperately needs to avoid being a flop IMO.  Just head over to DMeisterJ's "flop or not" threads to hear what people think of Fallout 3.

Fable 2 on the other hand is getting nothing but positive press, and it's not coming from Molyneux, it is coming from people that have spent hands-on time with the game. 

If this thead was about a PS3 or Wii RPG there wouldn't be any trolling. I don't understand why people hate the 360 so much on this forum.

Fable 2 might do it, but it's not like it will not have some serious competition for the title of this years rpg..
