Will DQ IX release this year in the Western part of the world? Otherwise NOOO.

All I can say Rocket is that maybe you should just give up on another true fallout game and try to just enjoy Fallout 3 as another game entirely, from the same lore perhaps, but a different kind of game. It would be unfortunate if you couldn't enjoy it because it was named Fallout. I completely understand your apprehensiveness though, I would probably have the same reaction if an Earthbound sequel was translated and somehow they lost all the comedy. Even if it was a good game, I'd still be mad that they killed my hopes for a true Earthbound experience.

...

woo hoo, hype up the only hypable 360 game of the year!

Does it really matter?

The game will be out and by all intents and purposes will be better than Fable 2.

Fable 2 is only going to run away with this thing because of no other big RPGs are coming out this year.  But I guess Fable 2 could be America's RPG of 2008, since DQ IX may not come out on our soil until 2009, but still, it's winning by default.

@Shio: I fail to see how Fallout3 is any way a "crap game". What Bethesda is trying to do is make this game appeal to as many as people as possible while keeping the RPG element and setting of the Fallout franchise. Based on the impressions and previews so far, they are doing a damn good job. If you guys want drug addiction, sex themes, racism, xenophoby, homosexuality, slavery, prostitution and child-killing, you can go back and play the old fallout games. The new "crap" fallout, will be waiting for you old timers when you inevitably decide to pick it up based on the likely fact that it'll probably turn out great and increase the fanbase. Don't be afraid of change, accept it.

@Rocketpig: Hey, i just don't want to see any excuse and sucking up to Bethesda if Fallout3 turns out to be better than your previous and precious fallout memories.

Again, to put it bluntly, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. You haven't even played the original Fallouts. You don't know what the series is supposed to be about. It's not just all apocolypse and futuristic 50s design themes, you know. There was a definitive theme to the Fallout games that made them much more than just another WRPG and Bethesda is taking the core of that and tossing it straight out the window.

And we have a right to be pissed about it. Bethesda shouldn't have purchased the Fallout name if they weren't going to try to make a Fallout game.

You do have the right to be pissed or upset or w/e. No one's taking that right from you. But calling a game garbage or "suck" before giving it chance is a different story. I don't see the reasoning behind people that stomp on games before even playing it themselves. Like i said before, you can be upset and afraid of change all you want, but there's going to be a time where you'll have to accept it. Look at Yoshi's island, Chrono Cross, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime RE4 and Wind Waker, all those games were very much different than their previous installments, but did they suck? no.

Argh. We're not talking about a different art style like WW or a transition to 3D like Prime, we're talking about a complete change to everything in the game... The feel, the attitude, the consequences, the choices, everything.

Every game you listed there kept some of the spirit and tried to evolve their respective franchises, not throw everything out the window and make an entirely different game that only shared the art style and name of the originals.

Neat, but LO, Infinite Undiscovery, Fallout 3, and Tales of Vesperia all look better to me than Fable. And those are all 360 RPGs.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Now now, don't get excited yet...it can be as big as a letdown as the 1st, So...just chill and wait till the 1st review comes out.. Then we can start speculating ^^

I'll get back to you after I've played all 3 games, I (for one), am still giving fallout a try before smahing it to pieces.

Oh, I'll play it. I absolutely cannot pass up anything with the Fallout name on it. I'm hoping that my controller doesn't spontaneously fly out of my hand and through my television set before the end of the first hour, though.

I really suggest you play the earlier Fallouts. The original might be a little too primitive for you now but I can't recommend the second game highly enough. It's pure brilliance.
