Crazy to think we’re only three days away from The Game Awards! Last year, I felt like an eternity had passed before the show finally arrived.

As for my bold predictions? Here are some of mine:

(1.) Sonic Unleashed Remake/Remaster to be revealed.

(2.) New trailer for The Duskbloods.

(3.) Ghost of Yotēi will be slapped around like SpiderMan 2, not winning a single award.

(4.) Clair Obscur wins GotY. (Very bold, I know lol.)

(5.) Masahiro Sakurai will show up to the event and reveal Super Smash Bros: Return to Dreamland, a single-player Smash Bros spin-off that is literally just a 2D Kirby game with Smash Bros gameplay elements. It will be revealed to cost $100USD after the event is done.

New single player From Software game please!

New IP, but using Souls mechanics

I really wish to see the Bloodborne gameplay loop again, the game is amazing but for nerds like me who love do multiple playtroughs trying different weapons the game can be a bit limiting (by limiting understand you can pretty much use all them in 4 to 5 playtroughs which is I lot, but for me to replay them ocasionally is not that much!)

Capcom finally announces the Dino Crisis remake! :)

Sega's next IP revivals will get gameplay and release windows

Backyard Sports new game will get announced

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced reveal imminent? According to PEGI, it seems so!

Also,… a Zelda remake? I wouldn’t anticipate this to be revealed at TGA of all things, but there has been some semblance of mumblings about this. I’m quite doubtful though.

I’ve heard GoW was (supposedly) confirmed not to be present at TGA, but there is now a rumor that it may show up. Big if true.

Edit— TESVI???? I feel like people are getting their hopes way too high lol. Bethesda just dropped a subtle tease at something coming for 2027… I guess it’s possible we’ll see TESVI Thursday? The game was still only in early development in 2023…hm. Maybe Skyrim Remake? That’d honestly be more realistic.

Tears of the Kingdom came out 31 months ago. TotK was announced 27 months after Breath of the Wild. And BotW was revealed about 31 months after Skyward Sword.

The pattern roughly tracks, even though the game likely won't be released until 2028 or later.

Parasite Eve Remake!

I think Nintendo will save that for a Direct… probably a direct in the near future, if I were to guess. Zelda TotK was finished in February 2022– four years more than enough time for the next entry to comfortably be in its middle stage of development.

My hope continues to be an OoT remake.

My prediction: Kojima will be there and Geoff Keighley will light up like a Christmas tree.
