"I cover Video Game News, Sales Data, Rumors, and provide Analytics on the Video Game Industry." It'll be estimates possibly his own, like you get from places like alinea analytics etc. He won't have an actual precise/confirmed figure.
Having said that, it's an easy guess that it'd be true. It had already shipped over 10m by the end of September, add in the shipments from October/November and it'll be far above 13m. His 64% of gamecube puts it at around 13.91m.
Considering consoles to be sold for christmas will have started shipping by now he's really lowballing unless he's talking sell-through. In reality Switch 2 shipments are probably much higher than this already.
I don’t k ow much of anything about this guy, but it seems like he has some connection for Nintendo sales figures as he’s released info in the past and been right. That being said it doesn’t seem like his “leaks” are much different than an educated guess as the poster above indicated.
passing Wii U by the end of November was always a safe bet based on the info released on shipments for the end of sept.
17 million by the end of Dec seems like a lock and the 19mil forecast for the year also feels like it can be surpassed slightly. Which is wild, close to 20mil in its first year. Bananas.
an almost equal although maybe more surprising sales story is how well the ps5 is doing even without gta6. Like wow!
both consoles doing great for the holidays. Healthy competition is hopefully going to translate into a customer friendly environment.
That's the most obvious educational guess possible lol. Especially now that Black Friday shopping has passed.

You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind
It’s over
Doooooom3d
Seriously speaking should do exceptionally well with the sales deal over the past few days

Nintendo's word on the matter will ultimately give us the full picture, but I doubt it wouldn't have been able to achieve the milestone considering the latest shipping figures

If you read it on a rush! It was obvious for me too for a moment.
Wii u LT stands at 13.56, which implies NS2 sold 3m in November, it's extremely huge for its first November... That also traslates into being on track to smash Nintendos revised by 4m forecast (19M)for the current fiscal year, since at least 13.56m sold means 14.56m shipped. Whopping sales in November happen in the last week, while December is a month full of 4weeks (for this year) of tremendous sales (for most products).
I think we all forget that this is a handheld and Nintendo handhelds have always destroyed their home consoles in sales. Leaving the dedicated-home-console business was probably the smartest thing they've done since making the original Gameboy.

We own both a ps5 and a switch. The switch has never left its dock but for when we go on vacation. We have 2 kids.
I think stating switch 2 is a handheld is an old argument and misses the point of what drove switch 1s initial success. It’s both. It’s a console you can travel with.
im sure there are people that are the exact opposite of us where the switch cg has never been in its dock. Point is though its not JUST a handheld.
its a hybrid home console.
Yeah and I don’t understand why Sony wanna come back to handheld, they are destroyed by their home consoles
