Seems like right around what other similar builds for prebuilts go by in terms of equivalent hardware and pricing.

It’s official, all. I have now purchased all the parts to my gaming PC. Come Christmas Day and I will have hopped onto Team Switch 2 & PC.
(I will only borrow a PS5 for when games like Astro Bot drop. Literally have no use for it beyond that.)
Great.
Will you build it yourself or do you have someone else to help you?
Also, did you remember to buy a Windows 11 licence or will you get one from those sites that sell keys?
Please excuse my bad English.
Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Not sure how I’ll go about getting Windows. But once I get the PC set up — I plan on building it myself (unless you think it might be wise to have somebody else handle it?) — I’ll get things sorted out.

Building a PC isn't that hard, as there are only very few places where you can make a mistake. And the motherboard manual usually helps with that.
That said, there are youtube videos about how to build a PC and, if you're a first timer, it may be useful to watch at least one of them. Linus has one in POV mode that may be more easy to follow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC-Xn2C_L1U

Activating Windows for free is actually extremely easy, it'll take like a minute or so and you can even upgrade it to the Pro version for nothing so all you need to do is just install Windows 11 and then follow that post to remove the watermark. Also for building it assuming it's your first time don't be surprised if it takes quite a few hours but it'll be worth it in the end not just to save money but also give you experience so you're able to troubleshoot it yourself in the future some if need be.
