Don't remember how the most recent entries sold but it seems like the Katamari audience moved to the Switch.

I'd think so, I mean also for any low graphically demanding game that appeals well to portable play.

Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Persona 3 port both did terrible. Ninja Gaiden is probably dead after this entry, at least on this mid budget level.

With Persona, it seemed the franchise was taking steps to become more popular on Nintendo consoles a few years ago, but it now seems to be a franchise in steep decline on the Nintendo ecosystem, probably because its not a JRPG worth getting into as a Nintendo only gamer because far from every Persona game will release on Nintendo consoles, like Persona 4 remake and Persona 6.

It's just Atlus being Atlus and failing to capitalize the success of P5R on the platform.

Both P3R and Metaphor should have released day one on Switch if they really wanted to be serious about Nintendo platforms, but here we are... with a year late port with framerate issues and no DLC included that costs $60. No wonder why it didn't set the world on fire.

This, Atlus made the bare minimum of effort, and as a result they're getting mediocre sales.

Nowadays not strictly true; some games release in a dreadful state but are salvaged post-launch, like Cyberpunk 2077 or Star War Outlaws.

And other games stay in a broken state :(, sadly, we gamers have grown to accept rushed out products.

Sadly true, we shouldn't have to put up with unfinished products in the first place. At this point though, it is what it is, all we can is not preorder, reward the good ones by buying and refrain from buying the broken ones.

It's still quite interesting that the Series was able to sell like x6 more than the Xbone in Japan, while declining basically everywhere else in the world.
I wonder why. Was the Series S with its small size and low cost more appealing to Japanese tastes? But then the Xbone slim was pretty small and cheap too.
