I’m gonna go off on a tangent here: This morning way the first time in 4 months consuming more than 1g of added sugar in a given day (my body doesn’t digest such food very well). In particular, I went to a “healthy” restaurant and ordered their gluten-free, dairy-free waffle and honey, and…what on earth. (i) The food tastes too good to stop eating, and (ii) it makes you feel utterly terrible after consuming.

My brain is fried, all. This was a terrible idea lol. Food should be treated like medicine: it shouldn’t be consumed for the purpose of gratifying the passions of flesh, but to introduce essential nutrients into your body, so that you may function according to your best ability.

Now, if you don’t mind me, I have to run on a treadmill for the next hour to burn off this waffle. (My heart is pounding at like a million bpm, how do people live like this?? Going from kale and low fat cottage cheese to a waffle with syrup might just be the worst idea I’ve ever concieved.)

Anyone that puts pickles on the burger, or even just in the to go box so the juices ruin everything should be banned yes.

I'm all for more regulation on processed foods at restaurants, stores, and such.
Banning it all or even a lot of it? No way, not at all.

We’re not wild animals. We have the ability to taste and savor every kind of edible substance. And humans have been able to do absolutely amazing things with it.

If food was simply medicine to give us what we need, we wouldn’t have the extensive sense of taste that we have. Food is something that takes advantage of all of our senses. So I don’t agree with that kind of take at all.

However, any sort of artificial substance like additives, definitely doesn’t belong at all.

fwiw i believe the porn industry should be cracked down on. Banned? No. Regulated and heavily stunted? Absolutely. Not only is porn bad for the mind, spirit, and soul, but the women involved are often trafficked or abused. It’s a dehumanizing industry which commodifies a women’s body.

While there are aspects of your post that are valid, the fact that you have excluded men from your post shows that you’re only seeing this form of media through one particular lens.

Porn is made for and created by both men and women. It is a form of expression and often gives these performers agency in crafting the life they want to choose for themselves. It is an economy just like any other and I’d argue that there is more exploitation going on in normal fields of work than there necessarily is in the porn industry.

Does trafficking and exploitation take place in the porn industry? Absolutely and it should be heavily regulated. But should grown adults be allowed to choose how they spend their free time and showcase their gifts? Also absolutely. Your own moral response to these activities is a moot point assuming they are of consenting age.

Fastfood junk is not " resraurant food"

I am no where near as strict as you, but I am very strict and picky about what I eat. What I found that works for me is to just do most of my eating at home. I can control it that way, and I don't have to worry as much about what is or isn't getting into my system.

okay then men and women are exploited and trafficked. I just know it’s generally a much bigger issue for women than it is for men (regarding abuse and trafficking). Also, I believe one role of the gov should be — like how a parent may moderate a child’s, for instance, number of cookies they can eat consumption — to moderate how much a person can consume certain potentially predatory/harmful content. This isn’t a matter of moral debate, the overwhelming consensus among research finds a correlation between porn consumption and masturbation with anxiety, depression, and loneliness. Ofc correlation is not causation, though it’s impossible to prove causation… so close enough.

Anyways… I feel like this is getting a little too heavy. I’m gonna jump off this topic.
