Since a few people have mentioned them, this doesn't include third party exclusives, strictly first party only.

PS2, followed by the PS1
Not only had they many exclusives, but those also stood out for being different to what the competition was offering. Starting with the PS3 the exclusives became increasingly similar both to each other and to what could be found on other platforms, they lost their uniqueness.
This is btw why I prefer Nintendo and Indie games nowadays: They still have this uniqueness which AAA, Sony and Microsoft imo have lost over the years.

I forgot about that. Did you own an EyeToy? I remember seeing a demo of one at a Walmart back in the day, but I never bought it.

I bought one with EyeToy Play (I think it was bundled with the hardware). Didn't play it much myself but several relatives and friends mainly girls were pretty obsessed about it for a while lol. The tech was kind of crazy, if gimmicky. It's basically a primitive Kinect (I never tried Kinect myself, just judging from what I've seen on the internet).

PS2 with PS1 a close 2nd. If games such as Crash and Spyro were 1st Party then PS1 would take it for me.
-Ratchet and Clank 1-3 and Deadlocked
-Jak 1-3 and X
-Sly 1-3
-ICO
-Shadow of the Colossus
-Siren
-Gran Turismo 3 and 4
-Twisted Metal Black
-Hot Shots Golf 3
-Hot Shots Tennis
-Wipeout Fusion
-Wilds Arms 3
-Ape Escape 2 and 3
-God of War 1 and 2
Might not be a popular opinion but I found the PS3 to have the strongest first party presence.
Uncharted
The Last of Us
Shadow of the Colossus and Ico collection
Ratchet and Clank collection and the Future series games
Sly Cooper 1-3 collection + 4
Jak and Daxter trilogy
Resistance trilogy
InFamous 1 and 2
Killzone trilogy
God of War series in its entirety of the Greek Saga (1, 2, Ghost of Sparta, Chains of Olympus, 3 and Ascension - as horrible as Ascension was lol)
LittleBigPlanet Trilogy
Gran Turismo
Socom
Twisted Metal
Smaller titles like Puppeteer and Folklore
I'm sure I'm missing several more - and though the list is very western centric - I still found the library appealing enough to mark it as the best first party support.
PS4 would come close and PS1 and PS2 I see similar in quality.

PS3. Sony with its back against the wall created tons of great first party games that went on into the start of the PS4.
Now they're comfortably in 1st, the first party games seem to have dried up :/
Yeah I'm gonna go with the PS3 as well.
From gritty FPS like Killzone and Resistance, to colourful platformers like Puppeteer, Ratchet & Clank, and LittleBigPlanet, to third person action adventure blockbusters like Uncharted, TLOU, and Infamous, to arcade racers like the Motorstorm trilogy, Modnation, and Wipeout HD, the level of quality, variety, and volume was superb.
