Legends are main, Nintendo or Game Freak or whoever has said so. But anyway, Pokemon ZA has 150m Switch owners.

Regardless of labelling, Legends Arceus sold about as well as anu non-mainline title.

The previous Legends Pokomon sold well even considering it did not launch in Holiday season and it had the traditional new Pokomon coming out just a few months later.

With not having had a mainline in 3 years and not knowing when gen10 comes out, I think fans are real eager to pick this one up. Plus there is a Swich2 Bundle.

Yotei will do well, but it doesn't have the surprise factor of the previous game. A sequel that is similar usually does not sell as well as the original, but let's see.

Pokemon by several million.

I expect a significant increase in sales for Legends, the reason is lack of major games on Switch 2 to compete with it. Once Switch start getting more serious big sellers the sales for Legends will decrease but this is going to take a while

While I expect a significant decrease in sales for Ghost. Playstation is more conservative with price decrease this generation. Plus it's PS5 exclusive, it's selling to half of Pokemon userbase


This will be no "Spider Man 2 vs Mario Wonder" nor "Zelda vs Astrobot". Legends will sell close to twice as much as Ghost

It doesn't sell on par with contemporaneous "main" new generations though; Legends Arceus sold only a bit more than half of Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet.

Sales also don't necessarily scale linearly with install base, and Yotei will likely eventually release onto an install base of hundreds of millions of PCs.

I don't even think Yotei will sell as much as Tsushima. Not because it's a worse game but because that's the fate of sequels that don't do enough to differentiate themselves.
