I agree. Black Flag was fun, but it didn't feel like it belonged, and a remake probably can't change that. I think my favourite candidate for a remake would be the very first game, since it's aged more poorly than any other in the series, and has a distinct atmosphere compared to the rest of the series (although I feel like Unity and Origins also had a hint of similar vibes). I guess that atmosphere is something they'd probably change, so on another thought, let's not remake the first one after all.

AC Mirage has a similar setting to the first game, so I don't think they will remake that one anytime soon even though it could definitely use a remake.

Well, that is not happening anytime soon.  Since they still have not released most of the remakes they first announced in 2023 except for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.
