I've only had PS5 for less than a year so idk if this has happened before but the store which is now essentially part of the UI and very well could be said to be part of the home screen (I believe it was until last year) is covered with nothing but Borderlands 4.

The game is slotted on all six of the Must See tabs with different links to the game or info about it, it has three slots on the What's Hot tab. It has mysteriously gotten into the Top Games in your Country tab. It is the Featured game and if that wasn't enough Take Two have purchased the entire background of the Playstation Store menu with a big flashy animation and it gets into the New Games tab for free and is also on my Welcome screen twice in News and PS store widgets and it has all the ad slots like being at the top of the Deals page. This is beyond overkill. 

This not only looks cheap but it makes the store feel like a scam. It doesn't help that the what's hot tab is such random BS that absolutely is not hot or from what I can see even lightly talked about in media or online. And tabs like Free to play or Demos keep disappearing only to return when...oh well that's another issue. 

Borderlands 4. Take Two. Sony taking the cash to spam your console with  the same promotional image repeated for near 100% of the screen and much on the scroll down. What's your thoughts?

It doesn't help it's such a bad poster, ewww...

Cant you turn off the ad? I never see this on my PS5 because I have the ads turned off.


Anyways, its money that 2K can throw away lol.

Oh. Well, tried it and it's another useless setting. Doesn't work. There are a few other settings on the console that do nothing either like turning off auto updates for games. 

I wonder if its catered on how someone uses their PS5.

Like I only download and play games on my PS5 , I dont even use the Playstation Store on it or any other apps.

TakeTwoInteractive and Sony have had a partnership for years, that's why you see a PS5 in the GTA6 trailer, Borderlands is TTI biggest launch of the year, you don't need math for this one. The recommendation would be simple, if you turn on your console to play or to watch a show ... play or watch your show, stop wasting time in details that go as soon as you start something.

You can tell it's a slow news day for someone looking to complain about anything..

I am glad I have not purchased one.

Wait until GTA 6 gets close. Oh man.

You'll have to eventually. With the sales gap with XBS consoles rapidly widening and the Switch 2 having technical limitations, PS will be your only option if you want a console.
