My earliest video game memory is Super Metroid on a friend's SNES.
My earliest video game memory is Super Metroid on a friend's SNES.
Either Donkey Kong or Donkey Kong Jr on the Atari 2600. And then Super Mario Bros. on the NES a few years later.
Duck Hunt on NES.
My aunt had one, and she set it up in the upstairs room for my cousin, and by extension me, to play. It kind of looked like the photo in OP actually. It was probably the SMB/Duck Hunt combo cart, but I don’t have real memories of playing Super Mario Bros. at that time. I suppose I did, because why not, but I surely played Duck Hunt a whole lot more. The SNES was out, and she had that downstairs in the living room with A Link to the Past, but at first she wouldn’t let me and my cousin play it. I’m not sure about the year, but it should have been around 1993-ish, when I was 5 or 6 years old.
I can't recall if it was Donkey Kong in arcades or Game & Watch Mickey Mouse - both are from '81, so it could've been either one.
It was Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt on the NES, even though this was the late 90s lol. My family road tripped to visit my aunt, and in her spare room she had an NES. She showed it to me and my little sister, and we were HOOKED! After that, I discovered my cousin had a SNES and N64, and the rest is history.
I had only played PC games and had only recently been introduced to the PS1 at that time.

im pretty sure mine was actraiser in around 1993. im certain i had zelda and mario exposure before that, but actraiser im pretty sure was my earliest memory. it was pretty magical.

NES in 1987 when my parents got me one. First time I played a game was 1986, Superman on Atari 2600 at someone else's.

Christmas 2003 with Luigi's Mansion and Pac-Man World 2 on GameCube. Super Mario World and The Lion King 1 1/2 on GBA. I hadn't really touched a video game up to that point. It was a first step into a larger world.
