Congrats! I got 1000 for it this past Sunday. For a while I held off on getting the game because it seemed that everyone said it was a disappointment and sucked, but I actually enjoyed it and I'm not usually a fan of stealthy games. Yes, it is repetitive, and they could've added some additional types of investigations. I understand how people can quickly get bored with only pick-pocketing, eavesdropping, intimidating and assassinating so many times. My biggest complaint with the game was with the difficulty. A bit too easy. "On noooees! My cover was blown. Ok, I'll just stand here and pwn all the guards that come at me. Then I'm off on my way again." It seemed the only time I "died" was when I either fell too far or went into the water (what, no swimming lessons at assassination school?). The least they could've done is made the "boss" assassinations more difficul, and the only investigation missions I had problems with were the "assassinate x in x minutes" ones. Though that passed once I realized out how easy (and fun) it was to take targets out with knives from the rooftops.
I'm actually looking forward to the sequel.
if this is full and if anyone wants to join they can take my place, caus eit wouldnt be to fair since me and my cousin play on 360(mostly him)so if anyone wants they can take my place

ahahaha, I wont be getting another picture for some time though...
heh so i guess no-one got smile. I got to the stage with all the portals on Smile lastnite as well but tried to save the bomb for the final stage (would have probably hung myself if i had got to stage 20 and messed it up so felt that I needed the 2 bombs to secure it!) and ended up dying on a stage I normally nail.
Tied winner on 175 feels good though so im not complaining :)

It took me four consecutive tries to beat it myself, with minor experimenting on certain puzzles in between. It would have been three, but on my third run I actually missed one piece in World 5, had to run back, re-fight the boss, and grab it, and I ended up with a time of 45:11. Needless to say I was pretty pissed.
I couldn’t believe it, that was the only time I ever finished a world a piece short, and it was a really easy one. I think I did get it, but rewound and forgot it rewound the piece too. It was so annoying because now I knew I could do it, but had to do it again anyways. I did my next run right after, finished at around 41:11.
It’s actually not that hard once you both know every puzzle in and out, and plot an efficient route through most of them. The current best run on the leaders boards is under 32 minutes, so you don’t have to be perfect by any stretch of imagination, just timely and organized. I made plenty of mistakes, but always while moving in the right direction, and I always backed up on them very quickly.
Here’s a few specific tips that might help.
In the first (or I guess second) world, it’s faster to back track after getting the puzzle pieces that make the bridge, then it is to run through the world a second time. Here’s the route I took. Starting at the cloud bridge, head to the end of the area, collecting the two pieces you can before entering the hunt. Run straight to the next door, ignoring the actual hunt portion for the moment. Enter the leap of faith, use the goomba to get the bridge piece over the door, then immediately pop back into the hunt and kill the lot and grab the other bridge piece. Back to the cloud bridge, stop at the puzzle, make your platform, run around and use it to cross to grab the next piece, then drop down and use the goomba to get the last one in the area. Then head back to the leap of faith.
Doing that I finished the first world in well under four minutes. It’s a good idea to restart on the first world if you make any major goofs. It’s short and it’s the first world you encounter, so you don’t lose much by restarting until you get a good time. Then you’ve got more flex room for future mistakes.
Also on both Irreversible and Impassable Foliage, you don’t want to just sit around waiting for the platforms to make it across. You need to just wait long enough for them to make it to a point that while you’re grabbing the other puzzle pieces in the area, they'll make it past the gate. When you finish with them, you can come back and the platforms will already be there, and save the time on waiting for them to finish their journey. For Irreversible it can take a little experimenting to get the time right, but you’ll want to wait a bit, then head underground to grab the two pieces there, then pop up to hopefully find the platform made it all the way across.
On the two mini-boss fights, anytime you bonk them, they’ll immediately head towards the other chandelier. If you’re fast you can drop it just as they pass under for a quick second hit. If you’re really good with those rewinds you head back the other way and get him yet again. On the second boss fight, after you score just one hit using a shadow, you can double up by using a shadow and yourself to drop the chandelier to score two hits at the same time. Move to the other one and do the same thing to get another two, making five total. Let’s you fly through the second boss fight.
@EagleEyes – The stars aren’t an achievement because that’d make finding them easier. As it stands now, someone would assume after the Epilogue and the speed runs, they’re done with the game, because the stars are that inconspicuous . If they’re had been another achievement, even it was just a secret one, people would be scouring for them without even knowing what they were. Meaning a lot more people would likely stumble upon them. They're extremely unusual hiding places also have symbolic meaning on the storyline, in my opinion.
^ Thanks for the tips! I expect to try yet again this evening.
@BrainBoxLtd
Youre a gaming god and thanks for the extensive tips! Your comment about the stars really intrigues me and I am looking forward to going back to search for them.
Expect to see Braid on the Platinum List soon.

Nah, it's not really that hard. Someone like RolStoppable could probably shatter my time blind-folded. It helped I did try after try in a row, that way all the little odds and ends stayed fresh on my mind. Also forgot to mention that it's a good idea to abuse the rewind to save time on time immune puzzle pieces. (Ones with a green border) Like in the stage Jumpman, the one on the far top right side is immune to your time manipulation, so once you grab it just speed up rewind to 8x to zip back to beginning of the stage with the (also time immune) key in hand to get the next one and save a few seconds.
And about the stars. Don't expect some grand reveal to happen after finding them. The conclusions I drew from them was actually in how incredibly subtle they ultimately are. And good luck finding them, I got lazy and mostly used some hazy guides on GameFAQS message boards to find them, and just keep fiddling around to actually reach them. =P
YES!!!

I so should have done this yesterday!
