The game can be summed up with it's decision to put block, deflect and parry like skills on L2 which is a trigger button just no thought went into a lot of this games design and you can feel it around every corner right down to the effects spam blocking telgraphing which is atrocious and forces you to keep distance. These devs had something here and blew it in parts that would be so easy to fix after being pointed out by QA. It feels like there was no QA at all. It is so disappointing that the game fails at such basic things.

Avoid this game at all costs. I have continued to play and it is untested trash made by a bunch of amateurs who worried more about making the game marketable than playable. It is making me feel ill with how sluggish the controls are, animation locks and speeds that don't match and how poorly it is designed in combat and without, nothing lines up and makes for a severely disconnected experience. Think, one of those steam games that is just floating parkour arenas but someone took the time to make it look AAA. The OC score is extremely generous by Journos who didn't play far into the game and the community influencers are a bunch of shills. This is a dogshit.

For context I have 14 hours logged and 9 bosses.

It is an awful piece of shit and it's just gets worse and worse, all the worst parts of Souls wound up in one game, a game where they confused difficulty with punishment or didn't think it was difficult enough (and it's not, it's easy souls with traps) so they slapped as much punishment in as possible to whittle your health bar. None of the systems work, the controls are sluggish, entire areas have status effects while just existing in them, there are QTE traps around mobs and bosses stun lovk which has to be QTE'd out of, the enemies are the same and areas have so many of the most unfun enemies to fight, the speed at which some bosses move does not match the game nor do any of the mechanics they put in to combat this speed and the animations are long and sluggish and not cancelable and because of this the combat has no flow and it never feels like you're learning a boss but learning how to manuaver around them, there is severe telegraphing issues but ontop of those there is blur from attacks and plenty of effects spam from you and the boss to block telegraphing entirely, levels and routes to new areas are choked at tiny points on the map with no, even subtle design language to ditect the player and the map is so busy with detail and ugly detail at that most of the time, loads of road blocks in a game that loves to loop so the roadblocks just become extremely confusing. 

It is a game that makes me sick to play when all these factors combine, litterally makes one ill from the absolute sewage you have to wade through following a very juicy looking carot on a stick which makes it even worse cause the carot the game is dangling is actually very solid (think WuKongs progression with Dark Souls one map looping) so it makes you want to forgive it and push through. 

They made the first ten hours really polished too and tricked the journos who often base their reviews on the first chunk of these game and made sure of this with a boss wall knowing many wouldn't pass it in a genre where people are afraid to speak on difficulty design. I have played 8 hours past that wall and the game is horrendous at times, like a bad fan made mod for Souls. 

Finally found someone who agrees with me, I felt like I was the insane one while everyone priases this game out the ass and only mentions performance as negstives. Only a few people seem to be able to discern the issues with this game and even then they don't see many of the flaws. Perhaps most haven't progressed far enough and many of the journos got walled off from the points where the issues I mentioned in the post above come to be severe issues. Moist Critical at least gets it and adresses many things I spotted, although I don't see how he can say this is a good game but he's one of the few who I have seen able to spot what's wrong yet he still can't seem to see the fundamental causes and design decisions. I am now convinced the souls influencers will praise anything, hood or bad apart from this man who is brave enough to adress the issues. 

Everyone else seems worried they'll be told they aren't hood enough. You can't excel in a game that designs itself to be this badly imbalanced in such fundamental areas right down to the input response. 

I am so astounded by how bad this games design is I am being stubborn and continuing to play it just to see and my God is it dogshit and the things that make it dogshit are for the most part intentional design decisions late in development. I suspect they were going for Wukong here and when everyone though this was a souls game then they slowed down the character and added in stuff to make it punishing, it's the only thing that explains why the game is so easy but so aggressively punishing for no reason. 



Played for about five minutes before it started going on about different currencies or something and uninstalled.
