The Pokemon Company released a statement four days ago that nearly half of all sales recorded were on Switch 2.
Hopefully they continue to release statements like that.

Looking at UK sales which were at first 50/50, S1 is now legging out S2 in week 2 (physical sales).. makes sense with the bigger, more casual userbase.

If Nintendo wasn't doing this dumb thing of counting digital sales of it on the Switch 2 as Switch 1 sales it looks like it'd be at least somewhat close between the two currently which is an advantage for the Switch 2 version long term.
