Forums - Politics - Rise of Atheism, discussion of pro-atheist topics, and disavowal of the 3 abramic faiths

Hi, I'm starting a news thread to talk about the bad things that the big 3 have done, and how to best respond to their toxic actions.  If you like, please be polite, well-reasoned, and have an open mind.

I wish atheist were the majority of humans

Atheism is the majority in Australia as well I believe.

China, Japan, Sweden, Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, Estonia, and Denmark all have high/majority Atheist populations.

Honestly I don't see a downside to it, more countries should be majority Atheist and follow the school of science and evidence.

Atheism is fine by me, as I believe in the live-and-let-live creed. It's the loud, antagonistic atheists, the ones who openly mock people of faith every chance they get that bug me. In this way, they are exactly the disease they claim to want to rid the world of. Just another tribal conflict we don't need.

And you can substitute the above for Christian, Muslim, or anything else.

If you don't go about your day and politely allow others to live their lives, you're the problem, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm atheist as well; got no problem with other people being religious (some of my close friends and family are) so long as they don't push their faith on others.

Beliefs are like a dick, it's a fine thing to have, but if you shove it in my face we're gonna have a problem.

Well... we've seen Christians protesting the funerals of gay soldiers... Muslims decapitating teachers for showing an image of a pedophilic alleged prophet... Christians bombing abortion clinics... Catholics discouraging condom use and increasing the spread of aids in Africa... Jewish settlers continuing to exacerbate issues in the middle east... muslims using gang rape as a form of punishment... the Catholic shuffling known pedophiles around the country to enable them to continue their child abuse unimpeded, and so on so forth.

So, while I have found that generally atheists are far appropriate when spreading their beliefs (never had atheists come to my door or try to convert me on a train or on the street while that's happened many times with religious folks) even if they are loud and mocking I still don't think they're the problem.

the big 3

Who would that be? Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism?

Agnostics most likely outnumber atheists by a pretty wide margin, but got lumped into "atheist" as well.
