The Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII. It's so stupidly awesome xD

The needler and plasma sword in Halo 2, the golden gun in 007, the taser in Syphon Filter, the spread gun in Contra.

Castlevania SotN (Crissaegrim); Mario RPG (Lazy shell); Elden Ring (Sacred Relic Sword, Siluria Tree, Bolt of Gransax..); Mario Sunshine (Fludd); Zelda (Master Sword)...

The Holy Hand Grenade from Worms deserves a shoutout as well for being hilarious stupid but overpowered as hell.

Say what you will about the Resident Evil 3 Remake, but the climax, where you get to use the FINGeR is definitely awesome.

Worms has so many great weapons, I also always liked the Banana bomb.

If we go with Worms, I feel like we'd have to add at least half the arsenal of the games. Exploding Bananas, Sheep, Grannies, dropping Donkey Statues flattening everything in their path, etc...

GunGrave Death Hauler. Sometimes referred to as a Casket on Graves back. In Gungrave, not only do you have dual pistols that never run out of ammo. You have the Death Hauler. A casket that also shoots variations of rockets and turns into a giant cannon. Shoot a bullet the size of a bullet bill from Mario. It's also a melee weapon. You can take down a group of enemies in seconds by spinning this thing around like a signboard guy on the corner of the street.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Call me a weirdo but there's something so satisfying about a good reload animation too

I'm not big on shooters but Shadow Warrior (1997) had some cool weapons, for example the nuclear missile launcher:
