The MiSTer not only allows for you to put a BIOS file in there, it requires it. And yes, it means I see the PS1 boot screen every time! Unless Taki Udon plans on customizing it in any meaningful way, I assume this Superstation will be the same. And the nice thing is, if you have a CRT TV that allows for it, you can get a significantly better signal (RGB, SCART, Svideo, or Component) than the OG PS1 ever was able to get back in the day. And of course, you can also do HDMI to a modern TV if that's your thing too. If I didn't already have a working PS1 and a MiSTer, I'd be all over the Superstation. |
