The official answer isn't encouraging.

That's about the official mods only.
Of course, no official support is a bit of a bummer, but given how popular this is, they should come regardless in due time.
have KCD2 to play before this, so deep sale if at all. I'm trying to come up with reasons to buy it, all I can come up with is nostalgia cause the game is not great in my memory asides from that Bethesda wonder that used to exist before Skyrim. I may play at some point, deep sale but def not unless I see greenery from it, that green forest and blue sky is probably the most important thing to me since they didn't improve the game in any way. The OG is available for me to stream for 3 euro more to my PSN subscription and I have a save that has already left the sewers, I really need that green but there are sooooo many things that should have been changed in the game and updates. I'd expect to be bored shortly after the nostalgia and checking out the graphics wears off.
Fuck it. I'm buying it, it's 54,99. Was expecting 80 euro. It already a sale so.... argh. Fuck. Fucking oblivion gates and no fast travel and outdated QoL and lack of features which make Skyrim still interesting, I know I will get bored but I can't not at least try to attempt a playthrough to finish it since I never have.
Watching PS access play it now. It looks exceptional comparative to memory of playing last year, if a little uncanny and the FPS is not great. If this has an updated trophy list that is less than 100 hours, it'll be worth it but still gonna wait to see fan reception.

Definitely not performing well in the open world, lots of image instability. Pop in, Shadows, image quality issues and noticeable FPS and looks nowhere near as good as the showcase on ps5. Looks more like Skyrim than Oblivion. You can almost see the fractal textures at a distance. My hopes are dashed.
Last edited by LegitHyperbole - on 22 April 2025It's very taxing on the hardware, as expected with UE5, my 4090 is struggling to keep it above 50fps @4K and with DLSS Balanced. I had to enable frame gen and switch to DLSS Performance (all settings on ultra). Frame gen works surprisingly well in this game, I can't detect any bothersome input lag on the controls at all, and my fps shot up to 144fps.
I've played a couple of hours already; this is more than nostalgia. They've modernized it just enough to be digestible, but all the charm is still left. My first impression is very positive. Now I just need to join to Thieves Guild, I have so much stolen shit already!
