On second thought, as well as potentially raytracing and DLSS, perhaps I should have added Game Share as an option.

My girlfriend and I will probably end up owning a Switch 2 each, just as we each have our own Switch 1, so it could be useful to only have to buy games once and then share them to play together.

You should be able to do that anyway with the primary system account thing right? Unless Switch 2 removes that and virtual game card is the only option, Switch 1 they're keeping it as an option. Game Share is one of those things I'm going to have to see in practice to see how good it is, as the game is only running on one console and streaming it to the other I need to see what the video quality and the performance impact is like on some games, and how well supported it will be.

DLSS is looking like it'll be a great feature for upscaling from sub-1080p to 1080p on Switch 2, and as I'll be using it mostly in handheld that's perfect for me so behind the 40fps that's probably my 2nd most appreciated feature.

Yeah not sure how it will all work in practise, but it does sound like a useful feature. Some games on Switch 1 supported this but it seems like it'll be more widely enabled on Switch 2.

Bit late now but in hindsight I'd add that, DLSS, and raytracing to the poll.

Game Share works just like that, by streaming the screen to other consoles and integrating their controller inputs into your game feed. Consequently, this feature is best suited for multiplayer games where all participants share a common screen, so it should be limited to those kind of titles.

Although when I was looking for the Ask the developer article, I remember reading something else, but did find the following:

The quality of the game image is reduced when it's transferred using streaming technology, so the team tried to find a way to maintain the quality as much as possible through trial and error. Also, with GameShare, there are games where it’s better if players aren’t shown the same screen, so we’ve created a feature that enables each person to see a different screen even if they're playing together with just one copy of the game. For example, when playing card games and mahjong in 51 Worldwide Games, each player is shown a different screen because it wouldn't work if everyone was shown the same screen. So, with GameShare, you can play cards or mahjong with players locally or those connected online via GameChat right away.

Developers could technically generate and stream a screen for each player. Nevertheless, it is not something that will be compatible on all titles as it depends on the performance and if Switch 2 can handle multiple screens.

You missed Variable Refresh Rate as well, it's such a great feature for overall gameplay experience.

I did indeed, my bad.

I suppose there's also the adjustable stand, the charging port on top, game chat, magnetic joycon rails, the camera, etc.

The most different thing in terms of gameplay would be mouse controlls, specially given they are the only mouse in the market with rumble (specially HD) and gyros. We could see unique experiences.
But having to be in front of a flat surface limits it so much... I never use my switch in this way.

Game share of switch 2 games with switch 1 I didnt expect this time, it is really cool, given we all have switches. Voted on this.

I am really curious about the switch 2 version of DLSS, thats capable to bring 360p to HD. Also VRR leting it getting great results with 40fps;

Now that I actually own one and have played quite a bit of it, I'm gonna say that the best "feature" is the ability to play stuff that either wasn't possible or would have to be seriously compromised on Switch 1, such as Cyberpunk 2077, Kunitsu-gami Path of the Goddess, Split Fiction, Hitman, etc.

Being able to browse the eshop smoothly instead of it lagging constantly on Switch 1 is also a great QoL upgrade.

Nvidia set of features, dlss, Ai powered features, potential for ray tracing... The screen is pretty lit too. 120fps, larger, vrr... Would an oled be better? Yes, is it coming?

Of course it is.

My switch oled gets a decent amount of use atm so I'm happy to wait.
