Didnt really convince me of the 80$ value, but it looks fun at least.

The charge jump seems like it could really change things up by giving the chance to dodge a shell or other projectile if you don't have a defensive item, giving winning players another trick to stay in the lead.

Rewind is also welcome, and the Kamek item looks like it could lead to some whacky fun.

The ability to have 4 teams competing at once is cool too.

Bring on June 5th!

Damn so much content in Mario Kart World. Costume shops, P-Switches, hidden Medals, hidden question marks, rewind feature, etc...

Really, that game is more and more like a GTA Mario kart racing

Also, is that the first game in the series since literally the very first one to include the feather as an item?

It looks preposterously good. I really do think that in a couple months, we'll be comparing Mario Kart World to the all-time great Nintendo launch titles -- Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Breath of the Wild, etc.

It is a lot of content thats for sure, and I guess they put more time working into this title then any of the other mario karts.... I really really want this game. Mario Karts have also been the best out there (for me at least) no other racing games comes close. 

Looks great, but I'm not really sure what the point of this direct was. Most of the information shown was already known and the new info could have just been shown in the switch 2 direct.

Ton of content in this game, definitely gonna surpass MK8 Deluxe as the best Mario Kart but the direct did feel alittle redundant. I imagine it was for just a focus on MK World and keeping this out the Switch 2 Direct allows us to focus on Switch 2 reveal.

I don't see that direct convincing many people who were on the fence since it was mostly a recap but the charge jump looks like a really cool addition and this should easily be another 50m+ seller that lasts about a decade. DLC that expands the map or adds another one would be fantastic and the Forza Horizon comparison was already there but with a rewind feature being added as well it really does seem like Nintendo was very inspired by that series which I'm all for.

The Direct was OK. I wish it showed a lot more new stuff than what was already shown in the Switch 2 Direct and Treehouse.

MKW looks fun.  For me it IS worth $80, but it IS NOT worth $500+.  It's not good enough to sell me on a system by itself.  I like to say, "you can charge whatever you want for a game, but that game better be damn good!"  Breath of the Wild was that good.  It could sell a system all by itself.  MKW cannot sell me a system by itself.  Few games can.

I'll probably pick up a NSW 2 in a few years once it has enough good games that I want to play and maybe an attractive Black Friday deal or something like that.
