Looks like the Switch isn't dying anytime soon with the new Tomodachi and Rhythm Heaven games announced today. Those games are very popular over in Japan.

PS5 falls even below 20k, after the tie last week. Switch matches my prediction with 30k.
The ps5 needs a price cut in japan even if it means sony loses money. The ps5 would need to maintain a baseline of 20 thousand per week until the end of the generation to pass the ps4
Xenoblade games have generally had around 50 % digital sales split in Japan, if that holds true for Xenoblade X it had a 150k debut in Japan, pretty good i would say.

Which is weirdly abnormal when you compare this to other Nintendo series but yes indeed. This has been a fact also for the previous game.
Though, at the end of the day, this is an upgraded remaster and releasing a game a t the tail end of a console cycle isn't usually the best for software results in most cases, especially for a series with so many games on the system already

Decent openings for Xenoblade and Atelier Yumia all things considered, and Switch almost exactly double PS5.
If Monster Hunter Wilds couldn't reverse PS5's fortunes in Japan, then honestly I don't think any game can.

How what?
If you mean how did Switch and PS5 sell roughly the same, it's simply that the audience for these kind of waifu games skew more towards the PS audience traditionally.
