I am thinking about grabbing it, it's a long way off to Ghost of Yotei and this is a good game with some rougness according to reviewer vibes and Influencers. Much better than FF16 and Dragons Dogma 2 from last year which I finished and I'd rate them a 5 or very low 6. It's supposed to be one of the prettiest Open world third party games this gen with a usable quality mode and a balanced mode that doesn't reduce image quality too much. Turn your brain off comfort food. Am I right in gauging it that way?

How's your time with the game so far and how would you personally rate? 🤔 Also, if any trophy hunters are playing, is the platinum achievable. Please and thank you.

I’m like five hours in. First AC game I have ever bought day one.

Playing on the Pro, graphics are insane, especially things like rain and wind. Gameplay is basically what you have come to expect from AC.

Do the graphics feel "next gen"? I get the vibe but it's always hard to gauge with Youtube. Would you recommend it or wait for sale?

Really? I think it looks quite underwhelming. I'm playing on PC 1440p very high settings. Character models are average and animations during cutscenes and dialogue are so stiff

You're used to good graphics on PC and getting the most out of them by being so close, graphics are just different on console cause of the distance from the TV and so many other factors. It's just not the same experience and this game looks great for a console game, it doesn't need to be super detailed cause that detail is lost but cohesive and stable, Shadows is doing a he'll of better job at this than most console releases right now. If you look up close at Wu Kong it's a mess so you wouldn't hook a monitor up to it but at a distance that detail matters a lot less and other graphical things are what makes the game like in the case of Shadows it's art style, the overall visual smoothness and stuff happening on screen like falling leaves and what not.

I will wait for it to be a fraction of the price or more in 6 months time. It's Ubisoft.

I do like the fact that they change the era's and regions of Assassins Creed titles to try and keep it somewhat "fresh".
But Ubisoft tends to stick to a monotonous formula.

Haven't started it yet, wanna do XCX first but it looks like I would enjoy it for sure

Same as you, something about it screams cool B movie type fun right down to the VA but I'm not going wasting 70 euro until I know for sure that it is that and not an average lifeless game. Definitely a game to play with Japanese subtitles though.

I was thinking that alright, Ubisoft have a trend of discounting soon enough. As to your point, theis is definitely the most fresh feeling AC game since they started coping The Witcher 3.
