Not bad numbers for PS5 this week. I was expecting around 40,000 so I think 50,000+ is a good result. Though I still think that by the end of March, console sales will be back to what they were pre-Wilds, but we'll see.

I'm surprised PS5 held so well. -83% also doesn't seem too bad for MHW. I was anticipating closer to -87%.

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

Gotta say that selling 100k+ in the second week is a solid result for MHW. It's definitely moving hardware too. I was hoping Suikoden would sell more, but it is still kind of a niche title even though I think it deserves better.

Dispatched Switch two weeks in a row. A rare feat to pull off in Nintendo's stronghold especially with a price tag that is 2.5 times more than the Switch.
PS5 should be able to maintain 20k baseline at least till the end of march.

If they are smart, they should do a permanent price cut starting April 1st.

They better because April 2nd it's lights out!!!! #Switch2

The Switch is back to continually declining after the indirect boost last time so I wonder how long till it drops to the 20's and after a surprisingly great week for the PS5 this is more in align with my previous expectations since this is a much bigger drop compared to the PS4 the week after World since it did 110k then. The opening for Wilds wasn't that different but the following few weeks will be a lot worse is the difference it seems. This or next week could be the last time it's up YoY for a while.

PS5 has had a price cut in Japan that ends this week, i think the price cut contributed a lot to PS5 sales and now it will go down hard, probably back behind Switch sales the next Famitsu report.

That would be a failure, a game like MH Wilds shouldn't lead to just 2 weeks of PS5 selling more than Switch (A console that is getting very few games this year and is getting replaced soon).

For the PS5 that's expected but for the Switch what do you think is gonna cause this recent sales trend to stop and even reverse somewhat?
