Moon Studios head Thomas Mahler has confirmed that 2015's Ori and the Blind Forest and 2020's Ori and the Will of the Wisps have sold more than 15 million units combined:

The series deserves all the sales it can get. The first game is great and the sequel — which just celebrated its fifth birthday — is among the best games ever made.

I'm not much of a fan of the metroidvania genre. But the Ori games style make them a treat to watch and the music is great as well.
I like when it goes well for smaller developers creating very well crafted experience.

If I had to guess how much these games had sold combined, I'd have said something closer to 5 million. I'm pretty impressed by this, hopefully No Rest for the Wicked can be a success too.

Yeah I would've guessed something close to that too, I'm honestly shocked this has pulled these kind of numbers.

Shocked in a pleasant way though; I loved both games, and Will of the Wisps in particular only just missed out on being my 2020 GOTY.

Especially impressive in that Metroidvanias tend to be a niche genre.

This is fully deserved. While Hollow Knight is my favourite Metroidvania Will of the Wisps is definitely in 2nd place so I'd love a third game to happen someday.

They could increase their sales even more by releasing both games on Playstation consoles.
