5/5 for January :) Nobody Wants To Die was fantastic!! Highly recommend it. Next game won’t be a plat as it’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on Xbox.

Oh yes! Nobody wants to die and I got on it, I've yet to play it but I'm so excited to get around to it cause it is just 6 hours long, when I play so many 20+ hour games or games that lead into hundreds of hours I really wanna enjoy a good short story with. I see it, complex mechanics

12/88. Not bad, we are winning. I'll get round to clipping the distance soon.

It’s how I like to play games, a 20-50hr game followed usually by a 1-15hr game. The dopamine hit of seeing the credits roll is one of my favourite parts of gaming. Currently 22hrs into Indiana Jones and will likely end at 35-40hrs maybe, gonna follow this up with something small.

It's a gopd strat to avoid burnout. If this was a competition no one would be able to compete with you. Do you plan for the platinum in advance or play thr game then plan around it or do you kinda just look at the trophies along the way and get it done on the fly?

I’ll drop off pretty hard this year, once my backlog is finished. The only thing I do is skim over the trophies/achievements in advance to see if there’s a difficult specific and missable ones. I’m not massively into replaying games multiple times (there are exceptions) and so I focus on the missable/difficulty stuff and whatever unlocks along the way unlocks.

I play similar to this as well. I play a big game (50+ hours) then a series on mid to short games.

Secret of Mana requires you to get every armor and accessory in the game. I totally forgot about the extremely rare drops from enemies in late game. Took 5 hours to get Ninja Gloves and Cockatrice Cap. I still have over a dozen more of the late game rare items to get. I'm at 23 hours now and if anything like last night, these drops alone may add another 10 hours to the run time >_

#6 and my first 1000G of the year with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Great game but I hope I don’t see another god damn collectible for awhile 😂. Next up I think I’ll give Hellblade 2 another try, couldn’t get into it the first time I tried as I just wasn’t in the mood for something so slow.

Secret of Mana Remake DONE!

Trophy difficulty 5/10. I was right on the mark when I said all the rare drops would add another 10 hours to the game. Between Grandia and Secret of Mana, I am SO burnt out with grinding. This was the first time ever that all characters were LV99(usually finish in late 40's/early 50's). Next few games will NOT be RPG's....... maybe.

I still enjoyed my latest run of Secret of Mana. Been a very long time since I played it, but just as fun every time. I would recommend the SNES version over the PS4 remake but it still gets the job done just not as charming

Next game looking to be Shovel Knight.
