I never felt preached to while playing Mass Effect.

Since when are we supposed to care about your feelings? I thought the whole thing about this culture war was how the liberal lefties are too emotional, not the other way around?

You dont have to care about my feelings. I dont like forced dialogue. Im not sure about this "war" you speak of.

Then complain about poorly written dialogue, stop focusing on the fact that it was about trans representation.

Change can be awkward, talking about stuff like this can feel weird until it's normalized. The dialogue was only awkward because we're collectively not used to having these conversations. yet. which is a significant part of why we do art. I also found the dialogue awkward but my issue wasn't that it was about a pronoun, it just felt a little stilted.

And we should be applauding the attempt, not demonizing it. We'll never get better if you don't foster change.

Im not gonna applaud bad writing. This one just happens to be about trans representation. Have it in the next Mass Effect instead. Those games take place in the future. That would at least make sense. Also try to make it organic, not just THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD FEEL ABOUT IT!

Idk the answer to this question but as fed up as I am with the whining about woke, I'm also fed up with game devs responding, mocking or attacking the whiners, in fact I despise that much more and if a dev does it, it's going to effect my purchasing. The shit CDPR Devs are going on with, wanting to punch gamers, not only is it effecting my view of the dev that gave me my favourite game of all time but it is making me feel negative about what TW4 will be and wheter I'll be buying it, if these are the people who'll be building it. It's a sign of activists in the spot where game devs should be. I'm particularly weary of writers doing this cause you just know the game will be likely affected by world views or social messages, regardless wheter I agree with them. Tw4 and Intergalactic (cause ND aren't responding publicly to the VAers comments) went from instant buy for me to something I now will have an eye on and I'll be waiting for public reception after the game releases so that rules out a day one, midnight release.

Confidence is now lost gor CDPR and it can't be regained unless the guy gets fired, even after all the confidence they gained back by fixing Cyberpunk 2077. A damn shame. God I hope GTA6 isn't affected by this shit and I pray CDPR will put this shit to bed before it can stain the final product.

I can understand dragons, sea monsters, magic, zombies, but I draw the line at the thought of people calling themselves something slightly different.

Trans people existed in the middle ages

It isn't a 21st century phenomenon, no matter how much people want to believe it is.

So you wouldnt mind a character in Elder Scrolls VI wearing a MAGA hat?

I just said that trans people existed during medieval times; so that's not really a good comparison.

In slightly different words, we've already Made Skyrim Great Again.

Yeah, you just said it. Show me where the person referred to themselves as non-binary and went by They/Them.

Isn't that basically what the Stormcloaks are? Just without the real world reference?

Well I dont know what you think about people who support Donald Trump, but Skyrim was made 5 years before he became president, so I doubt it.
