Forums - Sales Discussion - Famitsu Sales: Week 47, 2024 (Nov 18 - Nov 24)

Considering the supply constraints on DQ III physical sales. I'm.m not surprised of the turnover on the second week.

In the meantime, Mario Part Jamboree is getting those sweet legs for the reminder of the year.

Switch being up YOY is a nice surprise; Momotaro once again proving itself one of the breakout third party hits of the generation in Japan.

PS5 on the other hand is down 60% YOY, even with the 30th anniversary edition releasing. Will be interesting to see where it settles.

So you were expecting a big boost in Japan with these 30th anniversary edition? There are only 12,300 made globally. Each country probably got less than 1k of these edition

Not a big boost, no, but the digital PS5 rose 8k week over week while all other models fell; if this wasn't attributable to the anniversary than something else must have happened this week.

The PS5 Digital 30th anniversary, not the Pro. That's why the Digital PS5 saw a boost this week.

Sony creating this artificial scarcity is not going to do them any favours in the long run

They keep banging on about how Japan is important to them as a company but they have continued to drop the ball almost every year since the psvita was a console they were supporting
