Forums - Politics Discussion - Will the world be more or less peaceful with Trump in power?

Under Trumo, The world will be...

More peaceful 5 22.73%

Less peaceful 9 40.91%

Much the same 4 18.18%

A nuclear wasteland 0 0%

Something I can't predict. 4 18.18%

Total:22

I can't come to a conclusion. Will he have any effect at all? He is very much a leader if peace as opposed to even his party but definetly opposed to the people in power the last four years.

Will he continue to fund Isreal?

How will he approach Ukraine?

Will he pull another Kim Jung Un like last time he was in and go buddy with dictators to create less tension?

Like setting up the withdrawal from Afghanistan can we expect more of that?

Will he invade Mexico to fight the Cartels and border issues?

Does him simply being in power, the wild card that he is, put dictators or regimes like the CCP in a position to act more neutral and in turn not push towards hostility?

To the last question I think yes. I'm unsure about the rest, thoughts?

Funding for Israel will continue as the US simps hard for Israel (like most western countries)
He will want Ukraine to give up land to Russia.

Hope to be proven wrong!

Legit, the definite problem is in this group. Europe is very worried about Trump coming to power, because he has undercover allied himself with Putin and indicated that there won't be any support for Ukraine.

Trump has thankfully repeatedly said that he will support Taiwan. This is probably even more important than Ukraine, since Taiwan controls the world's semiconductor manufacturing. If China gets control of Taiwan, then they'll have power over the world until semis are made elsewhere.

Trump will do what is best for him and only him as this is his only concern.
The problem is people like Elon Musk and to a lesser extent this Kennedy moron.
Together these three guys will destroy a lot of what made the United States. Some will require years to decades to repair, some of it will suffer irreparable damage (just watch how Alaska will turn into an oil dump, for example).

It will be interesting to watch what happens with Trump and Musk. Both do not tolerate any other opinion except theirs, so a clash is going to be inevitable.

Hilter and history taugt us nothing.

He kept swearing up and done, "this much land" "just this little bit, and I'm done" but he kept going.
Putin dreams of rebuilding the soviet union.... I doubt any amount of Land Ukrine can gift him will be enough.

Peace is an illusion. Peace during a Trump presidency doubly so.

Exactly, that's what i keep thinking.  I feel like unless Russia is handed a heavy defeat with massive casualties, that they will keep trying to wage war.  They need their ass kicked so that they will realize that they are not as tough as they think.  Only then will they stop being so aggressive.

Last time he was in power it certainly was more peaceful. Will it this time? Depends how eager and how much money the Military Industry Complex wants to make.

Trump will probably surrender in Ukraine, as Trump is a coward and his supporters are weaklings and cowards. But that doesn’t mean Ukraine will surrender.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

TSMC is already hedging their bets in case China starts shit. They've been building a massive chip foundry in Phoenix using funding from Biden's CHIPS Act.
