Forums - Sales Discussion - Famitsu Sales: Week 46, 2024 (Nov 11 - Nov 17)

People lets be objective here. These numbers where expected by anyone with some sort of common sense. PS5 (Pro) is down massivly from last week, while Switch saw only a minor drop from last week. Its down less than 4k even compared to last year. After being down only 10% in europe we can expect some good legs from the Switch. Thats why Nintendo will unveil Switch Up no earlier than (late) january 2025. March 2025 release is on wacked feet now...

M&L is having a rough time atm. IGN gave Brothership 5/10, Acclaim’s potentially getting acquired, and sales aren’t looking pretty…

DQ3 had a very good opening at over 800K before digital.  However, it didn't seem to move hardware at all for either Switch or PS5.  (The non Pro model sold about the same as last week.)  I hope SE makes an announcement soon about DQ3 sales.

Dragon quest 3 remake is out of stock in japan. You can see it on amazon japan and also genki is reporting it : https://x.com/Genki_JPN/status/1859608028963799253
Square enix wasnt ready at all.

PS4 sold 37k in the PS4 Pro's second week back in 2016; PS5 sold around 40% less than that this week.

Higher cost + a waning interest in PS hardware among Japanese gamers over the years would seem to be the primary culprits.

Luigi's Mansion 3 suddenly jumping back into the top 10 is a surprise; was there a deal on maybe?

The Brothership is really sinking...

Well there u go, PS5 pro lasting barely a week. It's down by more than half from last year right after the pro....
