After finishing the likes of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Doom: TDA, Clair Obscur (really enjoyed it!) and Tempest Rising, I decided to take a break from hardcore games and get back into some racing games for a bit to get into the mood before Mario Kart releases.

Got my WipEout fix with BallisticNG again. Never uninstalling that game. But I was unaware that a new Tokyo Xtreme Racer game released! I only ever played the 2 Dreamcast games, but seeing the car that you first get and driving on the highway triggered some childhood memories I haven't felt in a LONG time. I'm gonna be playing this game throughout this week before Switch 2 releases and I hop on the Mario Kart: World wagon!

G2ThaUNIT and I are turning the same leaf, turned on all the assists for Another Crabs Treaure towards the end and I went from craving challenge to craving chilled out experiences after that game improved quite a bit so I went and bought Dungeons of Hinterberg and took the soulslikes I had lined up for myself on my PS5 menu and replaced them with games like Solar Ash and Awaken Astral Blade so I'm dropping my main games for a bit, apart from Unicorn Overlord which I might progress in. Soulstone Survivors releases soon too, so there's that to play peacefully, mind off and headphones on.

I hear Coffee Talk is good, sounds very chill in the name alone.

Completed A juggler's Tale, A similar game like Limbo, enjoyable and perfect to finish in an evening that on sale barely cost more than 1.99€. Really Recommend it.

Completed Violett Remastered aswell, another short one (5 hours top) and on sale barely 1€. Recommend it aswell but it is an adventure game so you will just click around a lot or get stuck.

Unfortunately not on sale but Wish listed, thank you for the suggestion, hits with my vibe atm of chilled games.

Played some Dungeons on Hinterberg last night, feels like Zelda mixed with Persona but also feels like a walking simulator. It's very odd, I don't think of played anything like it tbh, Dungeons are small affairs, at least so far and that's a great thing, the Persona aspects are tied into skills progression which is odd cause it gets you to choose character you don't like but have the best skill unlocks. I checked online to find out what genre this actually is and found very excitingly that it remains a genre blender all the way through even more so than that overall mash of Zelda and Persona, it's got that random genre switching like Neir Automata. Not sure I can recommend this yet after less than four hours but I'm heavily leaning that way, it's definetly feels worth it's 20 euro price tag.

Hopefully I'll get another session later tonight, currebtly my OCD is forcing me to Platinum Another Crabs treaure which is going quickly cause you can strab a glock on the back of the crab and one shot anything in the assists menu so side bosses were dead before they had a single frame of screen time.

It is one of those games that people start for an hour and give up on and you understand them but when you play more how more fun it becomes.  Remember completing it and having a great time doing so.

After a year-long hiatus. PlayingSunset Overdrive again and made my character look like Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes.

Oh yeah, it definetly has me just for the expectation of what a dungeon is going to be like alone, it's not winning any awards for combat, story or the character but it's a damn cosy game and I can see it becoming fairly fun once you get on that hook, I love that there is no limit to the days so you can play anyway you want invoking the feeling that it really is a vacation and there's no pressure. I don't think I have gotten hit once by an enemy or a boss on normal difficulty but I'm not here for that, I'm here for the vibe and the cool little Zelda esk gameplay features. I do wish yhe character had more depth though, they are very boring and safe, like all of Los Angeles/sanfracisco/Portland, seattle moved, are working or are vacationing at Hinterberg, would like a little more diversity. Thank God they are mute and it's text chat cuase I'd have to quit the game if they were talking outloud.

Right, I can strongly recommend Dungeons of Hibterberg at full price of 19,99 but definitely at it's near 50% sale. For ten eurodollars this is a surprisingly good game. Just take the hit on some very safe writing and mildly cringe at times as well as some stuff combat and traversal but in the combat this is easily overlooked with skills and magic which are also used as Zelda lime tools for puzzles. Game is very cool and the Dungeons are so well paced, beats Atlus games at making the social aspects something you wanna do cuase they are short and it's basically a skill and stat boost tree. The puzzles are light and easy like most of the game but satisfying regardless.

Very cool game. Got me passing playing a Dungeon this morning and that rarely happens, I know it's bite size so feels good to just pass an in game day and put it down. This game is very obviously built with Switch in mind, so if you have a Switch or Steamdeck and travel with it this title is an absolute must have.

Also, this is a genre bending game akin to dace the Diver or Nier Automata. A very rare thing in gaming I have come to learn but always a treat and something more AAA games should do (and organically no mini game spam like Rebirth).
