Switch Ships 146.04 Million Units as of September 2024

Nintendo has released its latest hardware and software figures for the Nintendo Switch through September 30, 2024. Shipment figures for the Nintendo Switch reached 146.04 million units, while 1,306.10 million Switch games have been shipped lifetime.

For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, Nintendo shipped 2.62 million Switch units and 39.64 million Switch games.

Breaking down the 146.04 million lifetime shipped figure for the Switch, it has shipped 56.11 million units in the Americas, 37.52 million in Europe, 35.62 million in Japan, and 16.79 million in the rest of the world.

The regular Nintendo switch model accounts for 94.70 million units of the total Switch consoles shipped worldwide. The Switch OLED accounts for 26.83 million units and the Switch Lite accounts for 24.51 million units.

Nintendo's forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025 has been lowered by one million units to 12.50 million units. If Nintendo is able to hit its forecast that would mean another 7.78 million Switch units shipped for the rest of the fiscal year for a lifetime shipment total of 153.82 million units.

The Nintendo Switch will beat The Nintendo DS next year and The PS2 LTD somehow.

A attach rate of 8.9 is pretty high for a Nintendo system isn't it (when current shipped is sold through)?
(1,306.10 million Switch games shipped)

Switch isn't just selling hardware well, but games seem to be selling pretty decently on the system too.

It needs to do 162m to put a nail in the coffin, about who sold most.

Gongratz. Great sales.
Japan making sure switch will beat the ps2 its 100% now.

Who would have thought.

So almost no decline in sales compared to this quarter last year (2.62 vs 2.93 million).

I believe it will sell 6.5 million in the holiday quarter (compared to 6.9 last year). That will bring shipments to 152.54 by end of the year. It will be over 154 and pass the DS by March.

They got a bump from the Lite Zelda bundle, Lite was up but OLED was down significantly, so Lite will likely sink back down next quarter.

Less than 8 million to go until Switch surpasses the DS and becomes the highest selling Nintendo system of all time.

Better hardware sales than I expected given Q1's figures and the system's incredible age, and good opening for Echoes of Wisdom given its smaller scale and more experimental nature.

Nice results all around.

I am sure The Nintendo Switch will do it and Sony will say The PS2 had shipped more than 165m ^_^. Well by March 2025 The Nintendo will reach at least 153m it will need only 7m to reach 160m which is really doable by the end of 2025! so The Nintendo Switch in my mind It has Already beaten The PS2 no matter what happen ^_^

Xenoblade 3 selling the same as Xenoblade DE is a bit disappointing...
