You do know that if the PS5 Pro had failed catastrophically it wouldn't have changed anything? There's no point trying to convince PS owners/fans their Pro version of their hardware is a scam because the failure of the Pro model would've been inconsequential. It's not like there's a close battle between Xbox and PlayStation anymore and the standard PS5 is still way more powerful than Switch 2 so what could you achieve by convincing others it's a scam? It just fails while the standard PS5 carries on dominating.

PS6 will likely be a scam too if they keep leaning this direction so perhaps swaying people from it and hopefully we get an all weather machine designed for games Simulation, particle effects and what not instead of pushing studios to the brink of collapse chasing fidelity.

The games business is competitive industry and studios will always spend more to have a better game that allows them to compete with the other games. It has always been this way and I really have no clue why you think Sony's PS5 Pro is responsible for this effect. If you want to convince others the PS6 is a scam too, that also doesn't matter because it's not like Xbox will be a real competitor anymore and I doubt the Switch 2 is going to stomp PS6 into failure. If you successfully convince someone the PS6 is a scam, what would they buy as an alternative?

PS1, 2 and 3 had very few broken games or games that tried to exceed the limits of the hardware. Yes, you had bloom on PS2 and some performance issues into the later stage of the PS3/360 era but this phenomenon is new and I think the PS4 (Even though I loved it) was the start of this new age of devs budgeting towards instability. What we have now in this gen is completely new, the image quality issues have never been seen before and there are many factors like engines, Ai and what not but PRO consoles and weak systems like the XSS are contributing factors. All systems in a generation should be relatively on par.

Highly recommend staying clear of Soulstone Survivors, it's the biggest grind fest and there is no we8ght at all to the combat. For 15 you could buy three better games from Brotato, Keepers Toll and NERD Survivors or Army of Ruin and likely all four if there is discounts. Really overhyped, not sure what people see in this one.

Well this industry is the most competitive it's ever been so that is going to cause issues with hardware as they push the limits. I'm not really seeing what your talking about as in the 360/ps3 gen most games could barely hit 30fps. How can you say that what we have now is worse then that?

In general I don't see the point in being pessimistic around PlayStation products because unless Switch 2 can sell unbelievable amounts I don't see any challenger or competitor to them anymore. Phil Spencer has literally said they aren't trying to out-console Sony/Nintendo and He's also said they are no longer trying to bring people to Xbox from PS/Nintendo. To me, that sounds like throwing in the towel and giving up on being in the console market in a properly competitive way. So PlayStation is the only traditional console manufacturer we have left so if the people on here are the gamers they claim to be, shouldn't we be all appreciative of that?
