Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have You Ever Suddenly Lost All Interest in an Anticipated Title for No Good Reason?

I don't think my hype dies until I play and dislike a game. I really like the feeling of having something to look forward to and do not mind companies announcing games long before its due date.

In my experience, kids do that because of sibling rivalry. But I don’t think that’s the term you’re looking for. Perhaps a better example is a crush on a girl who isn’t available, but then when she is available, you’ve moved your crush on to someone else. The term is “impulsivenessâ€Â - that is, you want something, but lose interest in it once the mystique/attraction wears off.

I like games and all but tbh, I don't want to fuck them.

Haha 😎

That’s because you’re not into hardcore gaming.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Oh, I'm hardcore baby, I can go for hours and hours these days. Done an eight hour session recently. I suppose I'd marry The Witcher 3 if it was legal and binding, I'd probably loose in the eventual divorce.

Sort of.

I lost most of my hype on YSX Nordics due to the fact that its no longer a party-based game and you only control 2 characters. A change im most definitely not a fan of.

Ive lost all my hype on the Pokemon franchise - a franchise I used to be a big fan since its very begining - due to the low quality of the latest games, starting from sun/moon.

I lost my hype on Mario games in general, but this is more a matter that I dont think I no longer am the target audience. They dont entertain me as they used to.
