Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Alarmo announced

It's an interactive alarm clock with motion sensor technology that responds to your movements and plays Nintendo themed music and sound effects to wake you up or lull you to sleep.

It comes with five game themes; Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 3, Ring Fit Adventure, and Pikmin 4. More themes, including Animal Crossing and Mario Kart 8, will be added later.

The device will launch early next year, but NSO members can apply for the chance to get it sooner.

I guess this is that "quality of life" project they've been working on for several years now.

I guess it should play Zelda’s Lullaby when it lulls you to sleep.

If it doesn't play Xenoblade X the Key we lost then what is the point

Seems like it's a hit in Japan. The thing is sold out and Nintendo is switching to a lottery system because they cannot keep up with demand.

Seems very overpriced. $100 for an alarm clock.

At this point, Xenoblade X feels like a collective, very lucid dream...

As for Alarmo, it's a cute gadget. Although I feel they could have done a lo more with it. I think 5 IPs (one of which is Ring Fit, wtf) is quite lacking considering the amount of IPs Nintendo has. For 99 dollars I want waaaay more. Wario Ware, Rhythm Heaven, Kirby, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem... Even more obscure ones like Golden Sun. Just put music of every franchise and some silly animations. I don't think it's too much toa sk for that money...

I guess he was right, as usual when it comes to Nintendo.

Haven't they been that way since the 80s? They had Nintendo cereal. Cartoons. Toys. Movies from Super Mario to The Wizard. Branded electronics like cameras and such even in the 80s and 90s.

Yeah I honestly can't imagine anyone wanting this. Though from the other comment about it being sold out in Japan I guess I just don't understand people's endless desire to buy useless stuff.

The price is absurd, and the fact that it only has music/audio from 5 IPs is super weak. If it had wayyyy more, plus was like $50, I would still never buy it and think this it is a dumb waste of resources by Nintendo when they could have put those resources to making another game, but then I could at least understand how some people would buy it.

What I wanna know is how this thing will react to the movement of people having sex.
