Played the demo and preordered
They fixed somenof my minor complaints of Persona 5, which is the best game Atlus ever made. Probably this one will now take the crown
Really excited to play it
After playing the demo, I knew it should be 90+. ATLUS is saving game industry yet again
Played the demo and pre-ordered directly after. Its very rare a demo can sell me a product, but the 10 hours + was just amazing.
OC
P3R - 88
SMTVV - 89
Metaphor - 91
Unicorn Overlord (published by ATLUS) - 88
What a banger year from ATLUS
I have no interest at the moment in jumping in a 100-hour game, but I'm glad this is doing well.
Damn I'm good at this prediction stuff even though I was way off on Silent Hill 2 remake (really surprising) I got Astro bot tagged at 95 Opencritic and Metaphor tagged at 92 Opencritic. Hopefully this won't slip.
Edit. It slipped. Pity.

And here I thought last year was stacked.

What were those complaints, if you don't mind me asking?

"One more" system in battles were broken to favour the player. They instead used press turn system from SMT
The fact your party is restricted to only one Persona, while here you can set different Archetypes and go for a more diverse and strategic party composition
Pacing, with less time dedicated to school day activities where nothing really happens
More dungeons, including small scale dungeons. In P5 all Dungeons were quite big, and you only have one each month. The rest of time needed to be spent in procedure-generated levels
High school setting, after 3 games, started becoming repetitive when it comes to grinding supports and overall daily activities to increase social stats. Having a different setting is refreshing
If you die you came back closer to where you died. Huge time waster in SMT where a simple ambush could annihilate you on hard difficulties
