The leaks are really getting out of hand, I hope Nintendo show this week

You can choose to believe it or not. All I know is that this user has a highly reputable history when it comes to these sorts of Nintendo leaks. (SamusHunter2 & Pyoro.) Pyoro has confirmed Xenoblade info is dropping this week, so very likely no NSW2 info.

I am inclined to believe on this bc now comes to my mind that while we have hardware parts totally exposed, we dont have any evidence on the software, not even the case format, the cartdrige, a conceptual art, some blurred off screen footage... nada! If we are so close to the reveal at least one of these things should have pop out, right?

If the Switch sucessor won't be unveilled tomorrow or the day after we will need to wait longer than expected for the unveil...

*Update* I am still waiting. After today its Game Over!! I wonder if we see the sucessor in january anyway...

I still don’t think it’s coming until 2026 and plans have changed. I also think all these “leaks” of the supposed system are decoys Nintendo is purposely getting out there. Too similar to Switch 1

lol no way. They have been pumping out mostly small games or ports/remakes for a while now. Their software lineup is spent for the Switch and sales have slowed wayyyy down everywhere outside of Japan since Fall 2023. They even said the only reason it didn't come out these past holidays is because games weren't ready and they had to push it back to 2025.

Switch is done and the successor is coming out this Spring. We'll likely get an announcement in the next 2-3 weeks.

At this point in Switch's hardware cycle, with the current HW and SW sales, Nintendo is no doubt eagerly anticipating launching the successor to get sales momentum back globally.

If the system was coming out this spring, I think we would have heard a lot more about it by now. You cannot hide a system being in mass production. I expect a holiday release.

@Vinther1991 I don't think we'd have to wait until Holiday 2025 for it to launch. I personally feel like that will be too long to wait. I think it's entirely possible we could have it release in June. I also think it would be beneficial to launch outside the holidays, like it was for Switch 1. 3D Mario in June and Mario Kart for the holidays (along with big 3rd party releases and at least one more big exclusive first party game).

There's been a ton of leaks about it lately though.

We've heard tons about it and seen a whole mother board, what physical hardware leaks did we have for PS5 11months before launch?

March (06) is on extremly wackey feet now. May- july is not out of question. Anything could happen now. But if I was Nintendo I would just delay the system even further just to kick leakers balls! It has not been unveiled by now. Switch will be the longest living system of all time without the release of a sucessor (besides the Game Boy).

At the very least, I think that at this point, after all the leaks and Nintendo's lack of visible concern over that, we're getting a full presentation rather than just a teaser trailer. Otherwise Nintendo would already have shown something to address the rumours.
