Forums - Movies & TV - Physical Media Collectors |OT| (TV shows, movies)

Starting November 19, I'll be heading to Miami for about 100 hours instead of Vice City. With 35 physical Blu-ray discs instead of 0 physical discs.

Around the Network

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is out on digital tomorrow. Not lightning fast but not that long after it debuted in cinemas. The physical release is not until December 15.
And in my country (USA), Toy Story 5 (like other animated films distributed from Disney in the past two years) is only available in UHD Blu-ray as part of a steelbook to inflate the price. It's sold out in most retailers right now,
And who would you guess has some responsibility (but not all of it) for treating this animated UHD Blu-rays as boutique? That's right, Sony. Disney shut down their home entertainment division and has a deal with Sony. Disney and Sony titles will probably be the first movies and tv shows to cease physical releases (even DVD and Blu-ray, let alone UHD Blu-ray). I'm thinking the early 2030s.
