Forums - Sales - CESA White Paper 2024 Delayed Indefinitely * Update * Named CESA Game Industry Report - Coming December 2024

Hope it isn't cancelled altogether. I like getting updates to the smaller games.

Welp that's NOT a good news 😶 Though for now it is a "suspended" notion. It could some back in the future, even though it's clearly different from the time they delayed it by 9 months due to the ongoing Covid in 2021 ...

A shame for the smaller titles, we usually get some nice surprises there.

Boo :(

I wish Nintendo would give an update like once a year for at least all their Switch games. There are well over 60 first parties on this system now, but they only mention the once selling 1million+ in a given fiscal year.

Same. I wish all publishers would break down platform sales for all games too.

According to the same twitter account, it is renamed to CESA Game Industry Report and will release December 2024.

Good to hear

The new version of the CESA books doesn't have updated sales numbers from publishers in them.
The days where we got sales updates for every single Nintendo game is over.

From now on we will only get updates for their games in the financial reports and only if it sold one million copies during a fiscal year.

Yep, that's straight up sad. Especially for the smaller franchise like Xenoblade, Yoshi, etc .. which sells around the 2M+. We won't be able to see any kind o numbers beyond the first year of sales anymore, unless stated in an interview by a studio director or something
