Forums - PC Discussion - I just purchased an RTX

Guys, my dream has become true. I bought an RTX graphics card. Just did it.

It's an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 EX 6Gb GDDR6. From Galax. I know what you're probably thinking, this is one of the worst RTXs. But it's exactly what I need for my RIG and my needs.

Graphic cards are stupidly expensive where I live, and I can't spend lots of money on those things. So I found a good deal on this GPU, saved some money, and it's mine now. Finally!

It will arrive around June 20th, but I will need some time to install it. Since CPUs are way more cheaper than GPUs here in Brazil, I will get a new CPU too, so I can enjoy my purchase to it's fullest.

My current GPU is an Nvidia Geforce GT 730 2Gb GDDR3, from Gigabyte, so it will be a heck of an upgrade. Yeah, my (busted) old GPU was struggling to run Days Gone at lowest settings with below 25 FPS.

I will post a picture when it arrives.

Guys... Today, I'm a happy man.

I never even utilize RTX outside of occasionally DLSS if the game is overly demanding, which is a rare.

As long as you’re happy!

That's a terrible purchase, but what GPU isn't these days. Sounds like a great upgrade!

Congrats Alex, but by my curiousity, how much was it?

Thanks.

The price was R$ 1.239,00. Something around 240 dollars, I think.

Alex congrats on your buy.
Also thats a fine card, akin to buying a 6500 xt from AMD.
It should be enough for most games at 1080p, mid settings.
And if not, there is DLSS/FSR.

"Graphic cards are stupidly expensive where I live,..."

Hopefully it wasn't more than 160$ right?

Congrats and should be a major upgrade. Cards are annoyingly expensive.
