I'm kinda worried to what I have actually been doing for the past 30 years becuase I though during all that time before Xbox360 and PS3 I was playing video games, but obviously I wasn't.

Keep in mind that Greg and Ray are two of the original founders. It's their company, or has been up until the EA acquisition/arguably the Pandemic merger, and they've been running it for over a decade. Up until now they've answered to each other and their bottomline. Considering they're still partners and in business, it's worked well for them.
When you start up a company that grows to employ over 400 people and eventually brings in 17m in revenue, then maybe you can criticize them. ^_^

No, I disagree. I can critizise them now. You have a very strange mind set.
They dont own the company anymore, they have to report to EA. If they continue like that, they will be eventually let go. EA can not risk being cut off the Wii or DS revenue streams.

This is a great learning experience for fanboys and industry professionals alike. Unless they like the negative attention, they may try harder to sound less ignorant and close-minded in the future.

This is ridiculous.
Its a fault of the software - not the device. The Wii can do everything the PS2 can do - and a heap more - and no one ever whinged that the PS2 is a "toy, not suitable for story based gaming".
If they are being critical of the bulk of the casual software for the device - then so be it. But its no reason to be critical of the Wii itself. You cannot argue that Zelda:TP, Metroid 3, Okami, NMH (etc) is not "gaming".
Better still Bioware - come on out, and show us what the Wii *is* capable of. For heavens sake, you are making a RPG for the DS ;)

Text book = gaming!!!!
they were right, gaming is bad for you. thats why I hardly read any text book.
90% of the time I don't care much about the story on the games I play. I play games that are fun, not for its grand story behind it. I'll skip through the dialog every time I play a game.
But they can make games for the NDS but not for Wii
but the NDS isnt gaming either then since you just dont only use the buttons but also the touch screen and that isnt oldschool finger pushing is it?
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

@WoW: But doesn't work the other way around too? Shouldn't Bioware be critisizing when they have 100 years of history, is one of the industrys key players, employs more than 3000 people and is generating more than 3 billion in profit? On a side note, by your numbers, Biowares revenue per employee is around 42k (which means on the verge of extinction, unless this is quaterly revenue), while Nintendos profit per employee is more than 1M. In any case, this is not just about Nintendo, but the industry as a whole. It's the same as saying "Next-gen doesn't start before we say so" or "4D gaming" or any Sonys pre-PS3 PR BS. We are the only ones that make games, the stuff that others do is just something else. I do hope that that's not what he was meaning, although he said so.

Notice all these bitter people are PC devs first : Epic, Bioware. I'm sure there are others.
They all sound moronic and bitter. You bet they are, their business is being disrupted hard.
But what's sad is that they spit nonsense and excuses instead of trying to do sth about it.
No wonder I could never like or finish games from these devs, I'm just not in line with their mindset.
You'd think I would be closer to Bioware, as I was playing lots of AD&D. Their BG games type were exactly what I wanted to do when I was younger, and they realized my dream. Well, mostly, as their games are actually not very story driven, they are more like sandbox games, where you can wander endlessly without ever finishing the game. JRPG are far more story driven than any WRPG, which is why I always prefer them to WRPG. So it's ironic to see Bioware talk about games only being defined by story, as their games surely would then not qualify as games. Their stories pale in comparison to most JRPG.
Actually, I place their story in the same league as the Seiken Densetsu ARPG. It's actually the same kind of stories (deep wise, length wise, content wise).
BG's story is poor, NWN's story is really poor, and BGII's story appears to be a bit better, but still really poor.
Now that I think of it, the Neverwinter Nights circular menu is a poor copy of Seiken Densetsu's one, which was way faster to use with a pad, than the one in NWN with a mouse.
Well, anyway, better laugh at all those people bashing the Wii. We're seeing the very effect of fear by those being disrupted, and they're running scared. If they did sth about it instead of whining, it wouldn't be so funny.
